Completed Garden Room in Stockport: Space to Work and Relax
This completed garden room in Stockport brings together a home workspace, a comfortable seating area, a kitchenette and a separate shower room. Designed by Reid Design Limited, it shows how a garden building can support several parts of everyday life within one considered layout.
A connection to the garden
The exterior combines timber cladding with dark-framed glazing and an adjoining deck. Wide glazed doors connect the main room with the garden, while a rooflight brings daylight into the seating and kitchenette area.
Room to work and unwind
The completed interior has space for a desk, storage and exercise equipment alongside a sofa and armchair. The kitchenette sits against one wall, leaving the centre of the room open and making it easy to move between activities.
A separate shower room
The shower room includes a walk-in shower and a wall-mounted basin unit. Green wall tiles, warm metal finishes and a high-level window give the compact room its own character.
From design to completed space
The project documentation brought together garden layouts, elevations, floor and roof plans, construction sections and design visualisations. These photographs show the finished spaces with the clients’ furnishings and personal touches.
