Each build is different and each client has their own unique requirements. At Reid Design we understand this and through an initial feasibility consultation we will discuss your ideas and gain an understanding of what you are looking to achieve and what options are available to you.

This is a free service that will help us to provide you with an accurate fee proposal that is tailored to your individual project requirements.

Once the design brief is established we will work with you to create all necessary drawings required to obtain full planning permission or if it is determined that the works can be carried out under permitted development then we can help to obtain Lawful Development Certification.

Following a successful planning approval we can  look to the next phase of design, Building Regulations.

This differs from the Planning Stage works in that we are looking at the fabric of the building, what the specified thermal properties are and how the building work will be carried out. All of these need to be in strict accordance with the current Building Regulations.

We have extensive knowledge of this and will create detailed drawings including; plans, sections, elevations highlighting how each element is to be constructed and what materials will be used.

These drawings can also assist with obtaining accurate quotes from builders

Chestnut Drive, Sale

The Brief: To modernise and create additional living accommodation.

Very much a blank slate with so much potential. The original house was a run down 1930's semi.

With underfloor heating and thermally insulated above and beyond the current building regulations, we managed to create an energy efficient yet impressive living space. Utilising clever ceiling features to help de-mark the various usable spaces. The end result was an impressive statement to what can be achieved with an eye for detail.

Park Drive, Timperley

The Brief: To create a more usable internal layout, upgrade the acoustics & create additional bedroom accommodation.

By altering the internal stair case to a more central location we were able to unlock the potential of the property and maximise the usable floor space.

Through upgrading the existing party wall using acoustic wall linings the client was able to sleep well at night knowing that their dream layout was achieved.


Pine Grove, Sale

The Brief: To create a large family space where "we can bring the outside in".

Achieved by opening up the whole rear of the extension and introducing bi-folding doors along with level access to the rear deck.

By creating angled boxing out we were able to conceal the existing waste pipe runs and also create an interesting Architectural feature where light is reflected into the space.
